Dedicated to connecting patients to research, I am grateful for and inspired by my lived experience as a clinical trial participant and as a caregiver. The Rare Disease Community ignited my passion for patient experience and the importance of patient voice to improve and accelerate research. My career journey has included start-ups, CROs, specialty providers, and a 12-year tenure at Novartis. I embraced the TransCelerate Patient Experience Initiative as member then as co-workstream lead. The SPFQ and Gratitude Toolkits are a particular pride. I recently joined the DIA Global Meeting Annual Planning Committee's Patient Impact track. Both endeavors and mentoring undergraduate clinical research students offer me a chance to influence the next generation of clinical operations to engage the voices, needs, and realities of those they aim to help.
